»The tooth-missing wight«

technique: acrylics on drawing board

This illustration was for Knut Hamsun's story »A Wight«. The story is about a young boy who works on a cemetary. One night, he is haunted by a wight, missing a tooth. This is the second illustration I drew for the story, unfortunately it didn't make it into the book, due to space limits.
The book was the result of a course at Fachhochschule Mainz (University of applied sciences). It was a collaboration with Rowohlt, published and instructed by Felix Scheinberger. This book is a collection of spooky short stories of litterae humaniores.
Specific characteristic about this book: every story was illustrated by another person. This makes the book a collection of many skilled illustrators.
The book is available via Amazon, for instance.
