»The lost boys«

technique: acrylics & monotyping

This is an illustration of my dissertation project. As subject I chose James Matthew Barrie's book Peter Pan. The style of the images is very rough and dark. It primarily addresses adults and adolescents.

Many interpretations of the book show the lost boys as a bunch of happy funloving chilren. Matching my concept, I chose a different approach and illustrated the loneliness of abandoned children, covered in skins of dead animals …
